For the love of buttons...

I made it again! Maybe I can actually make this a regular thing? How many posts in a row until I can stop mentioning that I am actually creating posts in a row? 3? Alright, I'll stop.

My new favorite thing is buttons. I love adding buttons to hats. My daughter's go-to fall beanie isn't very extravagant, but I think the button just really ups (Is that a word? Beyond the guys who deliver new yarn and lots of buttons to my front door?) the cute factor.

Infant Crochet Boots (FREE SHIPPING)

I sent a couple of similar hats to two of my photographers, Geno Photography and Liz Ann Marcus for some sweet pics. Carrie (over at Geno Photography) is still waiting for her newbie to arrive, so she sent me a product photo to hold me over until she fills my inbox with squishy newborn goodness.

I love it, and I can't wait to see what she does with it once she has a model to try it on.

If you follow my Facebook page then you probably saw the most adorable photo ever:

Ah, so cute right?! Well it must be your lucky day, because photographer Liz Ann Marcus (located in Spicer, Minnesota for you locals) sent me another photo of this sweet babe in one of my favorite hats.

Droolworthy, eh? If that doesn't make you want to have lots of sweet babies then I don't know what will!

Happy Wednesday!

Custom Order!

Two posts in a row! Do I get some kind of award for that? Worst blogger of the year award? I'll take it! Better than nothing, eh?

Another custom order I had recently was for a size 3-6 month bear hat. The customer loved the twin hats that I had made a couple of months ago (that the amazing Kenzi Photography ended up shooting!!), but wanted something just a wee bit different.

This hat was for a boy, so she didn't want the bows on, and while she loved the color combo of brown and tan, she wanted to switch it around and make brown the main color with tan accents.

I love how it turned out! It is absolutely adorable! I'm still hoping to see a photo pop up on my Facebook newsfeed of the sweet boy in it.

Happy Tuesday!

Auction for Saylor

For those of you that follow me over on Facebook, you may have seen that I am donating a hat to be auctioned off. All of the proceeds go to benefit baby Saylor, who was  born on Valentine's Day this year (what a cute birthday for such a cute girl, right?!), and will be going through open heart surgery sometime this month. Saylor was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, and needs the open heart surgery to fix it. I am donating this hat, to be customized in any size, color and with or without the flower. I pay all shipping costs associated with the auction, the bidder only pays for their highest bid. The bid is sitting at $18 right now, so get on over there and bid on it!

Owl Hat!

I made an owl hat to use in my son's 1 year pictures and I absolutely love how it came out!

(Thanks SO much to Geno Photography! If you are in Iowa you have to check her out! We travel an hour and a half to get pictures done by her, have had our son's 6 month, 9 month, cake smash & 1 year sessions done by her, ordered invitations and thank you cards, and someday she will shoot my wedding! (: )

Back to the topic though, The brown and blue color combination is so adorable! Some cute combos for boys would be; brown & blue, brown & green, brown & orange, dark blue & light blue, dark blue & orange, dark blue & green, gray & orange, gray & blue, the options are endless! Cute combos for girls would be; pink & green, brown & pink, turquoise & pink, gray & pink, brown & purple, gray & purple, etc. Here are a couple photos of just the hat so that you can see the face a little better.

(Remember all hats are custom made for you/your child unless noted that it is in stock. You can get a replica of this hat for $25 which includes shipping to 48 US states.)

Similar

This hat is similar to the newborn one that I made last week, but it's not the exact same. Here I crocheted the white and blue together for the edging, braids and pom. I think that it came out absolutely adorable! It's on the list for a possible hat for Carter's 1 year photos! (:
I wish that I could have gotten the blue & white swirl to photograph better! I promise it's cute though! But I want to hear from you. Is too much, too light? Absolutely adorable? Or just.. ehh? Leave me a a comment!

Snowman!

So after crocheting a bunch of custom orders I decided to make my little man a fun hat. I was brainstorming ideas that I had never seen before, and then it hit me.. SNOWMAN!
And I am absolutely in love with it! Luckily Carter already has a pair of red gloves that I made to match this winter hat that I made for him, so it's perfect! You have to look closely to see the pom on top (representing the snowman's hat), and I love the way that the red & green turned out together (representing the snowman's scarf)!

Tell me what you think; is it completely adorable, a little out there for your taste or just plain creepy? I'd love to get some feedback on it! (:
