Christmas Items!

I wanted my son's Christmas photos with Santa to be very memorable, so I crocheted him boots and a hat to wear to go see him! I absolutely LOVE the way both of them turned out!

 We even got him to sit with Santa! We were SO proud!

 I really think that the boots & hat just "made" the picture! :)


I'll be making him another pair of boots for his 2 year pictures this weekend, I can't wait! :) (If you would like a pair of boots or the hat, they are $30 each and can be done in any color- they don't have to be Christmas colors! My computer crashed on me about a month ago so I haven't been able to update the blog as much as I'd like, but I have definitely been doing lots of crocheting! I'll be sure to post custom orders onto the blog as soon as I have a new computer.

I did create a Facebook page (woohoo!) so you can see a direct link to the page here. You can also check out my albums for all the fun stuff. I separated the albums into the different kinds of hats, as well as an album of hats that are currently in stock that can be purchased and mailed off the same day (based on what time of day you order).

I add delivery confirmation into the price of the hat.

Football Team Hats!

I live in Iowa, therefore you must choose between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Iowa State Cyclones, we choose Hawkeyes :)

I didn't really do anything special with this hat in that I didn't crochet a Hawk emblem or a football onto it, but that's because I wanted it to be able to go with any outfit and not necessarily just a black and yellow jersey :)

Andrew's daddy's favorite team always has been and always will be...

Yep- the Dallas Cowboys! (I know this picture is a little blurry but it's the absolute best representation of the colors that are in this hat.) Not only did he want Carter to have a Dallas Cowboys' hat, but he wanted him to have a MOHAWK Cowboys' hat!

I just love the way it turned out! And of course, daddy wants him to wear it EVERYWHERE and with EVERYTHING, even if it doesn't begin to match his clothing ;) Be sure to ask me about different sports emblems, as not all can be recreated.

Boo! Halloween is here!

I love, love, love Halloween! I get to buy cute costumes (Carter will be Spongebob this year!), buy pumpkins and carve them, but best of all I get to crochet fun things! I wanted to crochet Carter a Halloween hat that wouldn't be the typical pumpkin, and I think I achieved that!

We were getting tons of comments from people on how cute and creative it was! It definitely caught people's attention in a good way! The best part though? Carter kept it on the whole day :)

We lost most of our Halloween decorations when we moved the last time, so instead of spending a bunch of money on Halloween decorations I decided to just make my own! I crocheted this cute little pumpkin to sit on our ever-changing table in the living room. It sits with Carter's Halloween picture from last year (better get that updated!) as well as a Pumpkin Spice candle.

I love the way it looks with Carter's picture that has the pumpkins in the background. Stay tuned! I'll be updating this post in the next few days with another cute Halloween decoration!

Several Kinds of Flower Hats

As I mentioned before, I've been stocking up on crochet hats so that when I open up my Etsy shop I can have TONS of stuff ready to sell! So I've been experimenting with different kinds of flower hats to make them a little more fun.

After crocheting up these one flower headbands, I thought I'd try adding a few flowers to a hat to see how cute it would be. I think it turned out beautiful!

Custom Order!

I absolutely LOVE custom orders! This hat was designed by a fellow Babycenter momma who wanted a hat to match her daughter's purple coat. I think it will look absolutely gorgeous on her!

 

Doesn't it remind you of that cute little girl from 'Despicable Me'? Take out the white stripes and it's perfect! I'm so in love! :)
